GardenShare

Carlene Doane has been employed by GardenShare, located in St. Lawrence County, since October 2010. In March 2022, Carlene was promoted to fill the Executive Director position. She is passionate about promoting a local food system through education, awareness of programs for low-moderate income families, and has experience, close oversight, and operations for GardenShare.

A long-time resident of St. Lawrence County, Carlene has family roots in the area. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish from SUNY Oswego. She volunteers with the Canton Free Will Meal, Food Bank of Central NY, Church and Community Program, local parent groups via public schools, United Women in Faith, the Canton Farmer’s Market Board of Director, Farmers Market Federation of New York Board and food access programs.
